Sprinkler and Irrigation Services in Vancouver
Keeping your lawn and garden healthy year-round
Spring Sprinkler Activation and Startup
Take the worry out of your sprinkler system startup when spring rolls around. Our irrigation professionals will do it the right way, at the right time, so you can get your lawn looking beautiful in no time.
-
Typically, the best time to start up your sprinkler system is between the middle of April and the middle of May, after the threat of frost has passed.
-
Before restoring the water flow, all drains are closed and solenoid valves are returned to operational service. Each sprinkler and drip irrigation valve zone is activated individually from the controller. Sprinkler water patterns are checked and adjusted to their intended area of coverage. Damaged or plugged nozzles are either cleaned or replaced. Similarly, all drip irrigation zones are checked and adjusted to their intended watering purpose. The final step is controller audit and programing to meet proper water precipitation rates for each individual sprinkler/drip zone. Customer education and input is encouraged during the programming phase in order to meet customer satisfaction and water conservation goals. Most controllers have budgeting tools that can assist sprinkler system owners with both water budgeting and seasonal use changes.
-
This service typically takes an hour and is priced at $75 for up to six (6) zones. Larger systems requiring additional time are priced at our hourly rate. Sprinkler activation for smaller systems that require 45 minutes or less are priced at our base rate of $56.25.
